TESTIMONIALS -

“It was a great trip in all ways! Martin was a superior guide, teacher, and friend!  He got us to terrific locations in Edinburgh and the Pitlochry area, and with creative innovation, allowed us to shoot in weather that is normally difficult if not impossible in which to capture fabulous images. He was always available to answer a question or provide a tip or more comprehensive assistance when needed but was never intrusive or impatient.

His hints and suggestions to improve my photos has helped me tremendously and I implemented some version of their ideology in crafting many of the images I took during the balance of my time in Scotland after we parted ways. I would say this time with him has impacted the way I approach composition of my subject matter going forward.

In addition, he is an amazing person…Kind, considerate, patient and downright nice. I am anxiously awaiting an expanded inventory of trips that he might offer…”

“We were extremely fortunate to have Martin Ross as our guide. His knowledge of Scotland is excellent, and because he's a photographer, he understands the desire to seek interesting locations at the correct time of day to take advantage of the available light.

We spent one rainy day in Edinburgh, and Martin brought a large umbrella which he held up to protect our gear while we were shooting. I've never felt so spoiled! We spent the day visiting numerous locations, and he did a great job finding the best angles for the images.

His knowledge of Pitlochry was equally good, and we had a wonderful time exploring the beautiful countryside, stopping frequently to investigate interesting spots and photograph them.

Basically, though, it's Martin's character that's his best asset. He's knowledgeable, courteous, generous and kind. He even has a sense of humor, which is a helpful trait when dealing with photographers. Should I return to Scotland, Martin would be at the top of my list for photo guides.”
